Operated worldwide /MM late 60's, and instrumental in the discovery that 160m.paths all round Africa are open to UK far more than previously realised.

Avid home constructor before the black box era.
1970-90's Field day & AFS operations with various UK clubs. About 30 CQWW / ARRL / WPX / A A contests s.o., and about 10 multi, mainly all cw.

I have a fascination with HF propagation & antennas & am still learning after 40 years!

1997 retired to good dx QTH, started work on a 15m honour roll, now with 289 confirmed on 15m. I now enjoy having time to operate, and the absence of neighbours!

Worked for nearly 30 years in civil aviation radio/radar engineering.
