About John:
Licensed since 1967 and holding full UK licence plus US American Extra class licence. Founder member of FSDXA and deputy team leader for 9M0C and D68C DXpeditions. Management committee member of the First Class CW Operators' Club. Past chairman of CDXC and of Reading and District Amateur Radio Club.

Active mainly on CW, in contests, DXing and when DXpeditioning, with over 330 DXCC Entities worked on CW. Also active on various data modes and on VHF.

Responsible for designing and developing the FSDXA StarSoftware logging program, which will be used at 3B9C.

Prior to taking early retirement in 2001 and moving to Cumbria, was Head of Business Development for a UK public telecommunications operator.
