About Pat:
Pat is a 47-year-old building contractor in the Las Vegas, Nevada area where he has lived since August of 1964. He is married and has three daughters, one son and four grandchildren. The family lives in Boulder City, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas next to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.

Pat’s first contact with amateur radio was at the age of 7, during the Alaskan earthquake of April 1964. That incident sparked an interest for Pat in ham radio. But it was not until later in life after his family was started and college was over, that he got actively involved in it.

He was first licensed in 1989 as a novice along with his wife, Cyndi (N7NND). It was not until the last few years that the interest in chasing dx and dxpeditions has really grown for him. After upgrading to Extra class, he has enjoyed contesting and being in the pileup side of the things. This is his first major Dxpedition, but has been involved in a couple of short trips in the past.

He enjoys mobile operations, portable setups as well as a nice base station setup when time permits. He works everything from 160m thru 900mhz. and very much enjoys 6m when it’s open in DM25. Pat also enjoys family activities involving boating, scuba diving, both snow and water skiing, photography, horseback riding and hunting trips with his son and son-in-laws.
