of the Day:The 30m two element beam from Trident Antennas. This antenna was used to make every QSO on the band, using both CW and RTTY. Date Modes We are continuing with RTTY and PSK on our announced frequencies. Yesterday, we set new world records for PSK-31 QSOs by a DXpedition. We are not stopping there, as the pileups are ferocious and we will continue to operate both RTTY and PSK, right up to the end of the DXpedition. DXpedition Records 3B9C have set several new DXpedition records during the operation. We are now holders of the higher number of DXpedition QSOs on PSK31, 80m, 40m, 30m and 17m. These records were previously held by D68C (Comoros, 2001). Activity continues on these and other bands. EME Operation The window of opportunity for EME contacts has now closed. There will be no further operations on this mode and the antennas and equipment are being dismantled. Operations All stations will remain on air until late in the evening local time on Sunday 11 April. This means that 3B9C will go silent +/-2000z this Sunday. We may continue with the LF operation until sunrise on Monday, which is 0100z, but cannot guarantee that. After close down, the stations and antennas will be dismantled. All equipment will be packed and then transported by three trucks 25km across the island to Port Matrhin. There, everything will be carefully packed into our container. This work will be very strenuous, especially in the heat of the day. Go to Thursday -> |
