of the day:Earlier in the DXpedition, we worked four stations on SSTV during some tests. SSTV We are planning to get SSTV operational either today or tomorrow. Operations We're nearing 140,000 QSOs and, of course, the end of the DXpedition. We will be operational through until dawn on Monday 12 April, then the whole DXpedition will close down and start dismantling. We looked into perhaps keeping a few stations operational through Easter Monday but unfortunately it is not practical, with the container being in Port Mathurin and with so much stuff to decommission. LF Bands We are QRV throughout the night-time hours on the LF bands. Conditions have been rather poor until this morning when I was lucky enough to be on for a really good opening to USA on 160m. Over 50 USA stations got into the log, with about 15 of those on SSB, including Daily DX Editor Bernie, W3UR. We will be there again tomorrow, Friday. RTTY & PSK RTTY and PSK operation continues to dominate the scene during the HF hours. We have now broken our own world record, set at D68C for RTTY and PSK. So far, 4,400 stations are in the RTTY log and 1,400 stations in the PSK31 log. There's still plenty to go for though and we will continue data mode operations right to the end. SSTV We are planning to get SSTV operational either today or tomorrow. Satellite Sadly, although we have tried on several occasions to make QSOs via satellite, no-one seems to have been listening and no QSOs have resulted. We will continue to try, in between other commitments such as SSTV. Go to Friday -> |
