The "Deserving" In addition to running the web live from the island, we are also dealing with direct email from the world. Traditionally, major DXpeditions have used pilots - individuals who receive mail and send edited versions to the remote location. 3B9C took the decision to manage our own pilot email, which has been very successful. Bob, GU4YOX (pictured) Don, G3XTT and Tim, G4VXE review up to 75 emails a day. Information from the emails is collated and made available at the daily 2 p.m. team meeting. A selection are printed, so team members can read the messages for themselves. In addition, specific and repeated questions are answered on the web site, either on the FAQ page, or in the daily update. The combination of the web site and emails, helps us to make sure that the 3B9C signal is in the right place at the right time. Go to Saturday -> |
