Picture
of the day:Rodrigues sun-rise. This picture was taken by Bob, GU4YOX at 0515 yesterday. Saturday was our first full day on the air. The first online log has now been made available, which covers most (but mot all) of the first day. 3B9C launched on seven bands at 2000 UTC on 19 March and has been on air continuously. In the first 24 hour period, we worked over 12,000 QSOs. What we have found interesting, is the number of stations who have worked us on many bands and modes. Within 12 hours, we had seen several stations with contacts on all bands from 160m-6m. Well done all of you! Remember, the Nevada Rodrigues Trophies are available across many different sections for working 3B9C. Kazu,
JA1RJU has been busy on 6m, working over 120 stations on our first major
opening. Stations have been logged in Japan, Afghanistan and Southern
Europe. We will continue to monitor 6m and make as many contacts as we can
during the DXpedition.A review was made of antennas and cross interference today. Dues to in band issues, we are unable to run two stations on 80m at the same time. This is a disappointment, but we will be on 80m at all possible opening times. The band has proved to be very popular and the number of QSOs has been encouraging. We are very much focusing on the low bands to offer as many people as possible an all time "new one" on those bands. Go to Sunday --> |
