3B9C RTTY Day

UPDATE -  Monday 29, March 2004 UPDATE INDEX

Marina at Port MathrinPicture of the Day:
Boats at the "Marina" in Port Mathrin, Rodrigues.

RTTY now active
On Monday, following the WPX contest, 3B9C started RTTY operations on 20m, 15m and 10m. So far, we have worked over 1,000 QSOs. We will continue with RTTY and introduce PSK shortly.

More West Coast on 160m
We have made our first QSO with Washington State on 160m. On paper, the propagation looks almost impossible, however, this has been disproved with another QSO with the West coast.

DXCC status
3B9C has now worked 199 different DXCC entities. in addition, we have now worked over 100 countries on all bands from 80m to 10m. Our 160m total sits at 83 countries.

Team change
New members of the team are due to arrive on Rodrigues Island on Tuesday afternoon. After their long flights from London, there will be a meeting of virtually the whole team early in the evening. On Thursday, a large number of team members who have been here from the start, will leave and return to their homes in the UK, France, Japan and the USA.
